Okay. Here's what's happening at the moment.

I wanted to switch back to using Mint because I keep getting these quick crashes on Lubuntu. When I go to live USB it, I don't get the notification that says "network connections available" and I had to go set it up with all these different things that I don't know apart from the name and the password. So now I go to live USB Zorin Lite. Same issue there.

Now I'm currently flashing Lubuntu on an USB once again to check if everything works before I go and try to live USB Pop OS and Debian. I had Lubuntu flashed on a different USB before but it just gave me an error when trying to live USB it (which is a first).

As things are standing at the moment, I'm gonna see if Lubuntu's live mode works once again before I go and demo Pop and Debian.

I swear getting a Linux distro was never this complicated before. And this is the same laptop I got last month, not the crappy HP Stream 11.

imagine i just say screw it and decide to flash raspbian lmao

So.... I've been a Roblox player since 2017 (2015 actually since I had another account.) As time has gone by.... A lot of things changed. From removing Tix, and adding RThro, to voice chatting and now in-game advertisements.

The site itself? It lost its color and funk that it once had, which sucks cuz that old logo looked fun and quirky (not the cheez-it one)! Most recent thing they added? Subscription service support for games, like Blade Ball...... and uh..... The entire catalog of garbage games out there that just annoy you for your Robux.

To be honest I don't see myself playing Roblox in the future that much. All I really play is Blox Fruits, Super Bomb Survival, Survive the Disasters 2, RetroStudio, Find Everything, Collect the Body Parts, games like that are fun. It's hard to really find any games that are fun unless you go and dig and sift through all sorts of trend-milker and algorithmed garbage. It's even more difficult if you're a furry, since you got a bunch of players targeting you just because you have ears and a tail. They get so brutal over an avatar, like look at you, you're some Squid Game or Digital Circus garbage, I don't see you looking any better but I guess we're both wrong, huh? Like you gotta be kidding me!

Speaking of that, look at the current state of the UGC catalog, it's filled with all sorts of things! You even got the face of Kanye West and Nikocado as items. Somehow that's fine, but when it comes to someone who wants to be themselves, it's suddenly a problem? What kind of logic even is that-

I already got my two most important avatars' pictures saved, and they're Roblox versions of Selfie and Eric. Both got paint brushes on their backs.

Roblox is depressing now, and there's barely anything fun unless you get your gloves dirty. I'm not willing to be on that platform any longer. The closest that replicates Roblox? Minetest, Polytoria, or Brick Hill, I guess? IDK. I just want a light Roblox clone that has either native Linux support, or can be run with Wine. Preferably the former one. I remember Graphictoria and Finobe but they been long shut down. What's next to fill in that spot?

Just be civil with discussion, don't be going ham on people who are on a different side.

The reconstruction of WonderNet is underway! So far, I've implemented a new navigation bar, a much more clean videos tab with their own pages, and the graphics for everything.

Up next to tackle, the art and profiles tabs.

And yes, this is a real site you can visit thanks to the power of Neocities: https://wondernet.neocities.org/home

Since I've neglected to do any major updates to either one of my Neocities pages, I'm gonna restart one of them; WonderNet.

Not only that but this will give me some time to also provide updates for my other Neocities page, Eric's Corner. I already started overhauling a little bit for that, so I might as well spend the rest of the year going overdrive and updating both (while also trying to note other things as well, obviously.)

figured this little blurb should help;

taiiku is a fox, while twisted and diana are felines. lavie's a bunny, and gloombus.... gloombus is an inky nightmare creature.

hope this brought some clarity!

Day one of getting the video going:

Started today just ready to get the video going, was gonna have everything done at once, but my laptop crashed (it's a potato; hp stream 11. been with it for two years now so far and it runs lubuntu since i got tired of windows 10). So for plan B....

I'm compiling everything in chunks first. Three of them have been made so far! ... After two small laptop restarts from when plan A was still in effect.

dear god ive been waiting for the day that this video is finished after spending a month on this after so many hours spent

But yeah, the runtime so far looks to be seven minutes with what's compiled. If this ends up longer than 15 minutes for BitView, I may have to split this in two parts for when I upload the vid there. (yes i have a bitview channel you can check my profile for the link)

If all goes well and I don't end up in a mental/artistic coma, the video should come out either tomorrow, Saturday, or Sunday! But yeah that's all for this log.

i am

ABSOLUTELY

close

to having a longer video than the cheese wheel and blocker videos up

ive spent the past four weeks working on this and i only have one more step to go before i feel like i might end up in a mental art coma; and that is openshotting

i know for a fact that ive not only gotten a BUNCH of headaches as the days go by, but also lost sleep since im so hyperfixated on finishing this video, what a ride these weeks have been x_x

ive never really spent this much time for something as great as this in the past. i woulda mentioned my wonderware video that's on bitview but that was made in three days and not four weeks (plus there's game footage and not a craft from 100% scratch).

but yeah, im in the homestretch now! hopefully relatively soon the video will be up! i just need to hack away at openshot first.
